Locked Resources
When a resource is in use, the system locks the resource to prevent other users or resources from accessing it. When the resource becomes free, it is unlocked. With the necessary permission, users can unlock resources manually as well.
A resource is locked when it is:
- Checked out
- Being edited
- Currently in use for processing.
In general, locks expire according to configuration settings defined during the installation.
You can use the Lock Manager to monitor and manage resources that
are currently locked. For example, you can:
- Search for locked resources by user name, item name, time range, or any combination of these
- View a list of all locked resources
- Unlock locked resources, if you have permission to do so.
