Download approaches based on release type

You must use Passport Advantage or Fix Central or both depending on the type of release you want to install.

The following table provides the scenarios of downloading installation items. Based on your requirement, you can use one or combinations of the following download scenarios.

Scenario Download Approach
You have purchased a Version, Release, or Modification release of Sterling B2B Integrator for the first time.

For example, you have purchased the 6.1 version.

Download the release of the product you have purchased from Passport Advantage.
You are moving from a previous Version, Release, or Modification release to a higher Version, Release, or Modification release.

For example, you are moving from a 6.1 release to a 6.1.1 modification.

Download the release of the product you have purchased from Passport Advantage.
You are moving from a Fix Pack of a previous version to a Fix Pack of a higher version.

For example, you are moving from 6.1.0.1 Fix Pack to 6.1.1.2 Fix Pack of Sterling B2B Integrator.

  1. Download the release of the product you have purchased from Passport Advantage (6.1.1).
  2. Download the Fix Pack (6.1.1.2) from Fix Central.
  3. Ensure that the files of the base version (6.1.1) and the Fix Pack (6.1.1.2) are saved at the same location.
  4. Install the Fix Pack by running the installer.

    The base version and the Fix Pack are both installed.

You are moving from a Fix Pack of a version to a higher Fix Pack of the same version.

For example, you are moving from 6.1.0.1 Fix Pack to a 6.1.0.2 Fix Pack.

Download the Fix Pack (6.1.0.2) from Fix Central.
