System Administration

There are several system administration tasks you can perform to ensure Sterling B2B Integrator performs according to your business needs.

System Maintenance
Some of the system maintenance activities you might need to perform include applying a patch, performing a checksum calculation, or modifying the license files.

Support Tools
Sterling B2B Integrator provides you with a support case and an SQL manager tool to help you communicate with and troubleshoot operational issues with IBM® Customer Support.
Back Up and Restore
It is good practice to back up Sterling B2B Integrator regularly to protect your data in a hardware failure, system failure, or a catastrophic event.
System Log Messages
Sterling B2B Integrator uses enhanced system logging for EDI and translator messages. Each system message that is related to EDI or translation now contains a unique code number in addition to the text of the message.

Adding a custom menu
You can add a custom menu in the left pane of the Administration menu in the Sterling B2B Integrator dashboard.
Customizations
You can add several customizations to Sterling B2B Integrator.
Restart Sterling B2B Integrator after Time Change
You must restart both Sterling B2B Integrator and its database for seasonal changes to your system time. For example, when the time changes between British Summer Time and Greenwich Mean Time, or, in the United States, between Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time.
Configure Keystore Pathname or Password
When importing CA (trusted root) certificates from the Java Key Store (JKS) that is shipped with the JVM, a password is required. This password appears as a prepopulated default in the user interface.
EBICS Client
If you are upgrading to the latest version of Sterling B2B Integrator from a previous release, you must manually install the EBICS client.
