Installing highly available WebSphere MQ for event processing
Sterling B2B Integrator receives an event from WebSphere® MQ to start processing. Files are always processed in the data center where the event is received.
The following procedure is a high level list of tasks that must be completed to configure WebSphere MQ. For detailed information and steps, see WebSphere MQ on IBM® Knowledge Center.
To configure highly available WebSphere MQ:
Set up a multi-instance queue manager:
- Create an active queue manager instance.
- Create a standby queue manager instance.
- Verify the active and standby queue manager instances.
Create a local queue to communicate events about processing files to Sterling B2B Integrator. Note:
Use the same channel and queue name across all datacenters. You can either use the IBM MQ default Channel SYSTEM.DEF.SRVCONN or create a channel. For more information, see Create a Channel.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all datacenters.
