Getting started with monitoring

Monitoring for Global Mailbox includes monitoring document exchanges between Global Mailbox and trading partners, Global Mailbox operating status, and monitoring the WebSphere MQ queues.

If you are going to use only the Global Mailbox user interface to monitor document exchanges, and not another application you do not have to configure anything in Global Mailbox.

You can monitor events by using IBM® Control Center.

If you want to use a third-party application to monitor Global Mailbox document exchanges, you create a queue subscription for the application.

Use this checklist to track the tasks you need to do for your installation for monitoring document exchanges.
Are you using the Global Mailbox user interface to monitor document exchanges? Action

  3. Unsubscribe to the default visibility queue. There must always be at least one queue subscription. You must create the queue subscription for the third-party application before you unsubscribe to the default queue.
