Setting Up Users, Mailboxes, Virtual Roots, and Permissions

You use the information you exchange with the WebSphere® MQ File Transfer Edition administrator to determine the users, mailboxes and permissions needed for Sterling B2B Integrator to receive and send files to the WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition network.

Things to remember when setting up the users, mailboxes, virtual roots, and permissions:

  • The users must be in the WMQFTE User Map
  • The users must have a virtual root. Transfer requests are always relative to the virtual root
  • The users must have permissions on any mailboxes that WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition will attempt to access
