Task: Setup users, mailboxes, and permissions for WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and Sterling B2B Integrator file transfers

WebSphere® MQ File Transfer Edition needs a place to send and receive files on Sterling B2B Integrator. You must create users, mailboxes, and assign user permissions to the mailboxes that will be used in file transfers. You use this information in the WMQFTE User Map. After you set up the users, mailboxes, virtual root, and permissions, you give the WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition administrator the path to the mailboxes to deliver files.

This task is performed on the Sterling B2B Integrator Admin Console.
  1. Create the users that you need for WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and Sterling B2B Integrator file transfers. 1. Select Accounts > User Accounts >Create a new user account. Enter User information.
  2. Create the mailboxes the users will need. Select Deployment > Mailboxes > Configuration > Create a new Mailbox. Enter Mailbox information.
  3. Assign a virtual root to the user. Select Deployment > Mailboxes > Virtual Roots > Create a new Virtual Root. Enter Virtual root information.
  4. Assign permissions to the mailboxes.
