Release Notes: IBM Aspera Shares 1.10

This release of IBM Aspera Shares 1.10 provides the new features, fixes, and other changes listed below. In particular, the Breaking Changes section provides important information about modifications to the product that may require you to adjust your workflow, configuration, or usage. Additional sections cover system requirements and known problems.

AS-531 - Updated JQuery-UI to version 1.13.2.

New features

AS-484 - You can customize how Shares maps SAML attributes to Faspex user fields by using custom profile fields. You can edit the Shares name of default fields as well as add new custom profile fields.

AS-511 - The SAML user details page now shows SAML default profile fields in Custom Attributes tab. If custom profile fields are enabled, the Custom attributes tab also shows custom profile fields.

AS-439 - Updated jQuery to version 3.5.0.

Breaking changes

If you are upgrading from a previous release, the following changes in this release may require you to adjust your workflow, configuration, or usage.

AS-487 - As of Shares 1.9.15, SAML users are redirected to the main page after authenticating through their SAML IdP. Users who open a URL that leads to a specific folder are redirected to the main page instead of to the entered URL.

Fixed issues

AS-488 - Users cannot log in using SAML in Shares 1.9.15 due to upgraded CSRF protection.

AS-480 - The latest version of Shares still has remnants of JQuery 3.4.1.

Note: Shares can also be installed on a machine running SLES 11, but this operating system is not officially supported by Aspera.

Known issues

AS-478 - When modifying an email template in plain text and HTML mode, users cannot use the interface to add template substitution variables.

AS-477 - When a user tries to rename a folder to the name of an existing folder, Shares may overwrite the existing folder instead of preventing the user from performing the action.

AS-476 - Users are shown "The requested page is not found" after successfully deleting a file or folder from a node or shares.

AS-475 - [Windows] Email notifications use 127.0.0.1 as the server IP address instead of the client's IP address.
