Configure shared inbox settings
You can create and manage shared inboxes from the Packages app or from the Admin app.
Note: You can configure email notification templates and notification delivery
specifically for each given shared inbox; see these
topics for details:
To create a new shared inbox, go to Create a new shared inbox.
To manage an existing shared inbox, do the following:

Go to the shared inbox settings page.
- From the Packages app, click Manage in the right panel, then click Shared inboxes > sharedInboxName > Settings.
- From the Admin app, go to Workspaces > workspace_name > Applications > Packages > Shared inboxes > sharedInboxName > Settings.

Configure package expiration policies for packages in this shared inbox (for
more information, see Content
Expiration Policies). You can choose one of the following
options:
- To apply the same package expiration policies configured at the workspace to this shared inbox, set the toggle labeled Use workspace settings to On. When you select this option, the policies (if any) configured for the workspace display for your information only and are not editable.
- To configure customized expiration settings for packages in this shared
inbox, select Custom, then do the following:
- To configure a time-based expiration policy for this shared inbox, check the box labeled Time-based policy, then enter the number of days after which package contents should be deleted.
- To configure a download-based expiration policy, check the box
labeled Download-based policy. Then select Delete or
Archive.
- If you select Delete, AoC moves packages from the shared inbox to recipients' Deleted/Expired tab and deletes the package content when the threshold is met.
- If you select Archive, AoC moves packages from the shared inbox to recipients' Archived tab when the threshold is met.
Select After all recipients have downloaded to archive or delete the package after all recipients have downloaded it.Select After any recipient has downloaded to archive or delete the package after any one recipient has downloaded it.
If desired, set a grace period that delays package expiration for the number of days you enter, even after the expiration threshold has been met.

Enable or disable personalized URL links for the shared inbox.
When enabled, users can customize the URL of a submission link. For more information about submission links, see What is a submission link? For more information about personalized URLs, see Configure link styles for requesting digital packages.Note: If personalized URLs are disabled at the workspace, you cannot enable them for the shared inbox. The shared inbox inherits the URL type set at the workspace level.

To configure illegal characters that users cannot enter into the Package title field of the
Send files form, enter those characters in the Subject illegal characters field.
If a user attempts to enter an illegal character, the web page does not print anything in the field, and the user must choose a different character.

To configure a list of illegal characters that users cannot enter into the
message field of the Send Package form, enter those characters in the Message
illegal characters field.
If a user attempts to enter an illegal character, the web page does not print anything in the field, and the user must choose a different character.
- To configure a maximum length that users can configure for the Package title of the Send files form, enter the numeric value in the Subject max length field.
- To configure a maximum length that users can configure for the Package message field of the Send files form, enter the numeric value Message max length field.
- Click Save.
