Accelerate shared inbox setup through inheritance

Certain aspects of the Aspera on Cloud structure are hierarchical, allowing administrators to speed configuration and deployment of shared inboxes in the Packages app. In most cases, you can customize inherited settings for each individual shared inbox.

For example, you can take advantage of:
  • Sensible defaults for ready-to-use ease.
  • An inheritance scheme to accelerate implementation and simplify customization.

In this case, global/org-level Packages app settings --> Workspace Packages app settings --> shared inbox settings.

  • Granular configuration options for highly-customizable control.

Packages App settings

There are several settings for the Packages app that you can configure at the global app level. Global app settings are inherited by the Packages app in each workspace in the org. In a given workspace, you can override the inherited global settings and customize workspace settings. Shared inboxes in the workspace inherit the workspace-level app settings. In any given shared inbox, you can override workspace settings and customize for the needs of the shared inbox users. These settings include:
  • Collaboration
  • Public and authenticated link styles
  • Security
  • Package expiration
  • JSON "sidecar" metadata file
