Set notifications for new content in a shared folder

You can configure Aspera on Cloud to deliver email notifications to you when new content appears in a shared folder you need to monitor.

The administrator must enable this notification option (Admin > Organization > Notifications > Allow users to turn on notifications for new shared folder content. For a procedure, see Control email notification delivery). Unless the admin enables this notification, users do not see the notification toggle and cannot configure these notifications.

To enable notifications that new content has been uploaded to a shared folder in your workspace, do the following:

  1. Verify that this notification is enabled for your account:

    2. Select Account settings > Notifications.
    3. Scroll to Notification settings > Files.
    4. Click to enable Email me when a shared folder I enabled for notifications has new content.This screenshot shows the Account settings page, available under the User menu. On that page, in the Notifications > Files section, you can enable shared folder notifications.
    5. Click Save to save the change.
  2. Go to the shared folder and click to select and open it.
  3. In the upper right, click Folder settings The Settings icon looks like a gear..
  4. Click the toggle to turn On notifications for this folder and its sub-folders.
When anyone uploads content to this folder, including its sub-folders, AoC delivers an email notification to you.
