Example use cases for monitoring volume usage
For billing and monitoring purposes, get insights into volume usage that accrues to your subscription. Remember that some volume usage may not occur through Aspera on Cloud, depending on your subscription.
How can I see usage for each of my subscription entitlements?
Your subscription may contain multiple entitlements. To see usage per entitlement, do the following:
- Go to Activity > Transfer activity.
- Filter for Entitlement ID.
- Enter at least three consecutive characters of your entitlement ID.
- Review the results, displayed by Node and by Access key in that entitlement.
How can I find usage data for a specific shared inbox?
- Go to Activity > Volume usage.
- Filter for the workspace that contains the shared inbox.
- In the new filter box that appears, enter the name of the shared inbox. Enter at least three
characters to begin filtering.
The results include usage by Node and by User for the time period and shared inbox.
Which departments (workspaces) are transferring the most data?
- Go to Activity > Volume usage.
- Click the filter marked All to select Workspace.
- In the Search box, enter a workspace name and click the name when it appears in the list.
- Click the time filter to select a time range.
- In the graph, examine volume usage for that workspace. In the table, view the breakdown of total transfer usage by nodes associated with that workspace.
