Identifying a node type

Use the URL associated with a node to determine the node type.

To identify the type of a particular node attached to your AoC organization, do the following:

  1. Go to the Nodes listing at Admin > Nodes and storage > Nodes.
  2. Examine the URL listed with each node in the Storage Provider column.
    • A URL that conforms to this format identifies an Aspera-managed auto-scale cluster (ATS).

      ats-<xxx-yyy-n>.aspera.io

    • A URL that conforms to this format identifies an Aspera-managed node.

      files-prod-es-<xxxnn>.asperafiles.com

    • When a URL that does not conform to either of the Aspera-managed URL formats identifies a customer-managed tethered node or cluster.
