Manage trusted websites

Websites that integrate with Aspera® are able to transfer files to and from your computer. Aspera for desktop requires that you first grant the website permission before it can transfer files. This is done the first time that a website attempts to do a transfer, but you can do so manually as well.

Check allowed websites

  1. In the navigation bar, go to Settings > Security .
  2. Websites that were granted permission to upload and download from your computer are listed in the Trusted websites list.

Add or remove a website

  1. In the navigation bar, go to Settings > Security .
  2. To manually grant permission to a new website, click Add, specify the website to trust, and click Add.
  3. To remove a website, select the website in the list, click Remove, and click Remove.
Note: If a website is not trusted and attempts to do a transfer, Aspera for desktop prompts you to allow or deny the transfer. If allowed, the website is added to the allowed websites list.
