Manage transfer notifications
You can enable notifications to alert you when one of your transfers succeeds or fails. For example, to be notified when a long-running file transfer in the background finished or failed and requires your attention.
- In the navigation bar, go to Settings > General.
- To enable notifications, go to Allow notifications and click the toggle to turn it on.
- When the option is enabled, select the type of notifications that you want to receive:
- Notify me when a transfer succeeds.
- Notify me when a transfer fails.
Troubleshoot notifications
To enable notifications, follow these steps:
macOS:
Check your Notification preferences:
- Go to System Settings > Notifications.
- Select IBM Aspera.
- Turn on Allow notification, and select Alerts and enable the options that fit your requirements.
Check Focus settings:
- Go to System Settings > Focus.
- Confirm that Do Not Disturb is off.Tip: To keep receiving notifications with Do Not Disturb on, go to System Settings > Focus. Then, click Allowed Apps and add IBM Aspera to the list.
Windows:
Check your notifications settings:
- Go to Search from the taskbar and type Notifications & actions.
- Confirm that Get notifications from apps and other senders is enabled.
- Find IBM Aspera in the list and make sure notifications are enabled.
Check your Focus assist settings:
- Go to Search from the taskbar and type Focus.
- In Windows 10, confirm that Focus assist is turned Off. In Windows 11, Focus is off by default.
