Set up email notifications for Insights
You can be notified by email for any Insights created in Apptio BI.
You can see a summary of all the insights in the Insights tab on the Apptio BI home page. Users can see the Insight name and description, the associated report, and information about the Insight (e.g., when the Insight was last triggered, the owner, and the created/modified dates).
Users will receive an email when Insights have triggered against the latest data (i.e., an Insight is triggered for the first time, new data is pushed to production, the month, quarter, year, etc. has changed for the Insight date range). This email will provide a description that is defined by the user, the name of the Insight, and links to unsubscribe from the Insight or view the associated report.
Configure Insights details and set up email notifications
To set up an email notification, the Insight creator or the Apptio BI administrator will navigate to the Insight editor by selecting the add or edit Insight button on the report itself. Users can then define a name for the Insight, add a description for the Apptio BI users and select users to notify.
Subscribe and/or unsubscribe from Insight email lists
All users can opt in and out of their insights as well as Admin and insight owners can opt others out of insight notification groups. This action should be available by selecting the hamburger icon next to the insight on the Insights list or from the email itself.
