Projects that are completed but not officially closed can cause delays in handing over the end-product to the business and can incur additional labor costs when project teams continue to book time against them. There are cases where this is necessary for the business (e.g. final documentation or enablement) but there are cases when identifying these projects will drive a cost reduction in labor.
