A plan approver may need to return budget plans or forecasts to budget owners for various reasons.

About this task

A plan approver may need to return budget plans or forecasts to budget owners for the following reasons:

  • A specific line or aggregate item requires adjustment.
  • A broad adjustment based on new guidance or priorities from the Budget Process Owner is required.

A plan approver may need to return a budget plan or forecast to budget owners. When a plan is returned to you, a red banner is displayed, stating that the plan has been returned.

Procedure

  1. View comments from approvers.

    On the red banner, click Read Comment.

  2. Revise and resubmit a plan.
    • To manually create a new version of a plan, click Create a new version in the red banner.
    • Begin editing your budget values. When you do so, the version number will automatically increment.
    Tip: If your review process involves multiple approvers, we recommend you preface your comments with your name or initials and the date.
