About Hybrid Business Management

Hybrid Business Management (HBM) is an Apptio for Cloud product that is targeted toward infrastructure owners (such as the VP or Director of Infrastructure, and CIO) and application owners. HBM provides a single-pane view into the following:

  • Cost, capacity, and utilization of on-premises and cloud servers
  • Planned spend versus actual cost of infrastructure
  • Private cloud deep-dive, with focus on VMware
  • Migration analysis that allows a comparison of on-premises infrastructure with potential cloud infrastructure, to inform your cloud migration strategy

Hybrid Business Management uses the following components:

  • Hybrid-Infra Rate Card enables rate card modeling of infrastructure for the hybrid reports.
  • Hybrid-Migration creates migration analysis reports in HBM and loads the master data sets for all of the cloud price lists
  • Hybrid-Target Spend enables target spend to cost analysis of infrastructure cost, on a rate card model. The input can be a manually filled target spend table or pulled from a planning tool.
  • Hybrid-VMWare Private Cloud creates reports specific to VMware Private Cloud.
  • Hybrid-Workloads builds a workload and application view of the infrastructure needed for migration analysis, without the burden of building a robust App TCO for the enterprise.
