This report is designed for:

  • IT Finance personnel
  • Cost Center Owner

Objectives

Use this report to:

  • View the top labor spend by role and internal/external breakout. (Top YTD Costs by Role chart)
  • Identify the variance between spend and budget by role for the current month, quarter and YTD. (Select Date Grouping option)

You can use the information presented on this report to answer the following questions:

  • How does my labor spend break-out by role and internal/external?
  • Where is my biggest spend?
  • Where is my biggest variance?
  • Is my mix between internal/external labor appropriate for our business needs?
  • Is action required to mitigate budget or other risks (e.g. key roles completely external)?

Next actions

  • View the 13-month spend and budget to identify abnormal trends by clicking View in the Trend column.
  • Investigate staffing and rates by clicking the Staffing & Rate tab.
