Enable custom calendars
We support three ways an organization can structure their fiscal calendars:
Calendar Types
- Gregorian - Fiscal year is 12 consecutive months. Supports both traditional calendar (FY starts Jan, ends Dec) and non-Traditional (user chooses fiscal year start month).
- 445 Variant - Calendars that allow you to begin fiscal years at a different time than that of the regular year or to divide up the weeks/days in a year in a specific way such that each period starts/ends at the beginning/end of a week. The fiscal year is composed of 4 and 5-week periods organized into quarters containing two 4-week periods and one 5-week period (could be 4-4-5 or 4-5-4 or 5-4-4).
- 13-Period - Calendars with 13 periods instead of 12. The primary reason for this is to make each period the same number of days.
Note:
Calendar type can be set only during initial configuration. It can’t be changed once it is configured.
