About the Data Quality reports
Introduction
The Data Quality reports focus on the quality and completeness of the data.
Use the Data Quality reports to:
- Identify areas for data improvement
- Review financial allocations and strategies
- Review IT resource allocations and strategies
The reports present information about the following data dimensions:
- Cost source, including labor, vendors, projects, data centers, servers, storage, tickets, applications, and business units.
- Completeness, validity, and uniqueness of the data.
- Allocations of costs.
There are data quality reports for:
- Financials
- It resources
- Services
- Servers
- Storage
- Service Desk
- Data Centers
The Financials report is described Data Quality - Financials report. The other reports are not described but they are similar.
Allocation information
A major focus of the Data Quality reports is the allocation of cost from the cost source to the different entities in the organization. The allocations are defined by the allocation models. The main cost allocation model is shown in Figure A below. For more information on defining allocations, see Allocating Value in Models in the Studio Guide.
Access the reports
To access the Data Quality reports, click Data & Allocations on the Home page. From the Summary report, you can drill-down into detailed reports about the individual dimensions.
