How can I view documentation offline?

To view IBM Documentation content when you do not have internet access, download this documentation and view it in the IBM Documentation Offline application.

About this task

To view this product documentation offline, download and install the IBM Documentation Offline application, then download the product documentation to view in the application. You can add the documentation for multiple products to IBM Documentation Offline. You can update the offline documentation whenever the online documentation is updated. For more information, see IBM Documentation Offline.

Procedure

  1. Log in to IBM Documentation.
  2. Go to IBM Documentation Offline and follow the instructions to download, install, and open the application.
  3. In IBM Documentation, find the appropriate production documentation then, at the end of the table of contents, click Offline docs.
    The documentation is downloaded as a .zip file.

    If you have already downloaded the documentation, the link changes to Downloaded. If the documentation has been updated since you downloaded it, the link changes to Update available. If you do not see a link, make sure that you are logged in to IBM Documentation.

  4. In IBM Documentation Offline, click Add or update docs.
  5. Click Select product files and select the .zip file that you downloaded.
  6. Select the appropriate language, then click Upload products.
    The selected product documentation is unpacked and a tile is added to the product list in IBM Documentation Offline.
  7. To view the documentation, click the tile.
