Databases overview
The integration server can manipulate business data that is stored in databases. If you have databases, you must configure them before you can access them from your message flow. Both ODBC and JDBC connections are supported, but some restrictions apply on some platforms, as described in the following paragraphs.

Configure your integration server and your database to support connections from message flows.
Event-based database integration
Respond to events in a database to enable an integration node to synchronize an external system with a database by sending updates to the system whenever data is changed in the database.
