Coexistence and migration of IBM App Connect for Healthcare
Learn about migration to IBM® App Connect for Healthcare 13.0.1.0 from previous versions and the restrictions on using more than one installation of IBM App Connect for Healthcare.
Be aware of the following behavior when you install multiple copies of IBM App Connect for Healthcare.
- IBM App Connect for Healthcare 5.0 extends IBM App Connect Enterprise 11.0; IBM App Connect for Healthcare 6.0.1 extends IBM App Connect Enterprise 12.0, and IBM App Connect for Healthcare 13.0.1 extends IBM App Connect Enterprise 13.0. Therefore, you can install IBM App Connect for Healthcare 13.0.1 on a computer that has an installation of IBM App Connect for Healthcare 6.0.1 or IBM App Connect for Healthcare 5.0.
On Windows, you can install a specific
version of IBM App Connect for Healthcare (for example, version 13.0.1.0) on a computer
that already has the same version of IBM App Connect for Healthcare installed, so you can
have multiple installations of the same version.
On Linux® systems, you can install a
specific version of IBM App Connect for Healthcare (for example, version 13.0.1.0) on a
computer that already has the same version of IBM App Connect for Healthcare installed if
each new installation of IBM App Connect for Healthcare is installed to a different
single-user installation of IBM App Connect Enterprise.
If you install IBM App Connect for Healthcare on a computer that has more than one
instance of IBM App Connect Enterprise installed, be aware of the following information:
- IBM App Connect for Healthcare 13.0.1 works with IBM App Connect Enterprise 13.0.1.0 and later releases. You choose the instance of IBM App Connect Enterprise to use when you install IBM App Connect for Healthcare.
On Linux systems, if you install another
single-user instance of IBM App Connect Enterprise under the same user or a new
multi-user instance, to use IBM App Connect for Healthcare with that instance you must
uninstall then reinstall IBM App Connect for Healthcare.
Not all artifacts in IBM App Connect for Healthcare
5.0 and IBM App Connect for Healthcare
6.0.1 are available in IBM App Connect for Healthcare
13.0.1.0.
If your message flows contain message flow nodes that are no longer available, you must rework them
to use only those message flow nodes that are available with IBM App Connect for Healthcare
13.0.1.0. See the following list of functions and artifacts that are
not supported in IBM App Connect for Healthcare
13.0.1.0.
