Storing data with database

You can opt to use database instead of JSON files to store your App Connect for Manufacturing data.

Attention: Use either JSON files or a database to store your manufacturing data.

You need to configure your environment so that you can use your database to store the data source details, and client item mappings.

The following tasks describe the configuration that is needed to ensure that your data is correctly stored in your database.

You can migrate your existing data sources and Client Items variables into JSON files from your database. For more information, see Migrating database files to JSON files.
