Known problems and solutions
A list of known problems and their solutions where applicable for App Connect for Manufacturing are described here.
- If the source and server time is not received from the OPC server, the App Connect for Manufacturing client sets the time to zero and the output is
displayed as
1970-01-01T00:00:00:000
. - Make sure that the MQTT broker is up and running before any flow deployments or starting the connector. If the MQTT broker is down and the connector is started, you cannot stop the connector with Ctrl + c command on a console.

The Windows installer links the App Connect for Manufacturing with all the available versions of App Connect Enterprise in your environment. It does not prompt for path.
- Installation fails if the specified App Connect for Manufacturing directory is too long in non-default installation. In Windows, the maximum path length is 260 characters. See, Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces.
- If the database connection is dropped, the Toolkit is unable to renew the database connection automatically.
