Improving the Toolkit performance in Windows 10

Symptoms

If you find that the Toolkit performance is slow when you are using the App Connect for Manufacturing component, add the Toolkit component path in the Window Defender settings.

Resolving the problem

To improve the performance of the Toolkit, follow these steps:

Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security.
Select Virus & threat protection.
Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
Select Add an exclusion, and add the Toolkit path:
For IBM App Connect Enterprise:

```
The exclusion will apply to sub-folders within a folder as well.
