Use the Patterns Gallery to select, download, and install a
pattern. Then, create a pattern instance to get the artifacts to use for your solution.
Before you begin
Use the links in the IBM® App Connect Enterprise
Toolkit to download only the pattern that you
need. You can download and install the patterns from the Patterns Gallery
on the IBM App Connect Enterprise
Toolkit
Welcome page or you can use the Patterns Explorer view. The
Getting Started page also has a link to the Patterns Gallery.
About this task
Before you complete this task, read the Patterns overview
topic.
Procedure

From the Welcome page, click the Patterns Gallery tile.
Filter by category, you can also search by tags, which appear when you click in
the search field.
- Click your chosen pattern.
The pattern page opens.
- Click Start to download and install the pattern.
The
pattern is installed and the Pattern Specification tab opens. You can install
another pattern by clicking the Return to the gallery or continue with the
current pattern.
- Enter the name appropriate to the instance that you’re creating and click
OK.
You cannot use the following names:
- On the Pattern Parameters page that opens, add your parameters in fields that are
provided and click Next until you get to the final page.
The
green tick confirms that all the mandatory configuration is
complete.
- Click Generate and your instance is created.
You are
taken to the
Application Development view and your pattern instance and application
folders with created resources are shown.
If you created other pattern instances previously and
they are not showing, click the last icon with the vertical three dots on the Application Development view toolbar, then click Deselect working
set to see all your patterns and application folders.
You can use the
Working set options to focus on one pattern you are working with.
You can
now use the resources in your application folder to deploy your solution.
