Logs show error after updating data source properties from non-secure to secure data source connection

Symptoms

When you update the data source connection properties, from non-secure to secure connection by using certificates, with incorrect input values, you might see 'null' error in the logs or on DataSource Config UI.

Even if you have updated it later with the correct data source connection values, the connection still fails to establish, and the same error is seen.

The connection and session will not be created for incorrect data source properties.

Resolving the problem

Run the following steps:
  1. Update the data source security properties to non-secure mode.

    For example, set the Message Security Mode and Security Policy to None.

  2. Restart the Toolkit.
  3. Update the data source connection properties, from non-secure to secure connection by using certificates.
    Important: Make sure that you enter the correct input values.
