Updating a client item

You can update an existing client item for App Connect for Manufacturing nodes from the Manufacturing Perspective.

1. Open the Manufacturing Perspective window by using any of the following methods.
   • Open Toolkit and navigate to Window > Open Perspective > Other > Manufacturing.
   • In the Properties view for a node, click Add or Select.
2. The Manufacturing Perspective window has the following views.

   View	Description	User task
   DataSources	Displays the data source that is configured to connect to your OPC UA server. You can have more than one data source.	You can perform the following tasks: Add a Mapping Node Rename Mapping Node Delete Mapping Node Delete Mapping Node's Target Duplicate Mapping Node Refresh Source Item Tree Note: You can delete Mapping Node's Target for multiple Data Sources.
   Source Items	Displays the data for the OPC UA server source items in a tree structure view.	Browse the OPC UA server address space. Select a source item to be mapped to a client item.
   Client Items	Displays the list of client items available, which are created and mapped to source items.	You can perform the following tasks: Add a Mapping Node Rename Mapping Node Delete Mapping Node Delete Mapping Node's Target Refresh Source Item Tree Note: You can delete Mapping Node's Target for multiple Client Items.
   DataSource Properties	Displays the data source connection properties that are used to establish connection with an OPC UA server.	You can perform the following tasks: Create Data Source Update Data Source Refresh Source Item Tree
   Client Item Value	Displays the values of a client item that is mapped to a source item. After the client item is created and mapped to a source item, the client item values are populated.
   Client Item Properties	After the client item is created and mapped to a source item, the client item path values are populated.	You can perform the following tasks: Create client item Update client item Create client item tree
   Logging	Displays the status of each activity that is performed in the manufacturing perspective.
   Select	OPC-UA-Input node Displays association of a client item with a manufacturing node.	You can perform the following tasks: Add Trigger Item Add Item to Trigger Add client item to Read Add client item to Write Select for Method Call Cancel

3. Update as required and click OK.
