System requirements

The system requirements describe the supported hardware and software requirements for IBM App Connect for Manufacturing.

Note: Ensure that you are familiar with the minimum product levels that you must install before you open a problem report.

Important:

The OPC-UA-Subscriber node in the App Connect for Manufacturing 13.x is compatible with the following Operating Systems.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9.x and later
- Ubuntu 22.x and later
This compatibility requirement is due to OpenSSL security reasons, as older OS versions may include outdated or vulnerable OpenSSL libraries. Ensuring the node runs on newer, secure platforms helps maintain robust encryption and secure communication channels.
The OPC-UA-Subscriber node is not supported on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Operating Systems.
