Add the nodes to define the message flow's function.
About this task
To add a App Connect for Manufacturing node to a message flow, complete
the following steps.
Procedure
- Click the Manufacturing drawer from the
Palette view.
The Manufacturing drawer list the available built-in nodes.
- Drag the node from the Manufacturing drawer list to the
Flow Exerciser.
- When you add a node to the , the node name is highlighted where
you can change it from the default name to a name of your choice.
- If you rename the node, the name that you choose must be unique in the message flow.
- The default name is set to the type of node for the first instance.
- Click the Properties tab to set the node properties.
The node properties are organized into related groups and displayed on tabs. Each tab is listed
on the left of the Properties view.
- Click each tab to view the properties that you can edit.
From the
Description tab, you can change the name of the node and enter short and long
descriptions.
- Specify the node properties value according to your requirements. Some nodes properties are
assigned with default values and some are optional properties.
- Repeat step 2 and 3 to add more nodes.
- Create a connection between the nodes by using the terminal of each node. Use terminals
to control the route that a message takes.
- Hold the mouse pointer over each terminal to see the name of the terminal.
- You can click the Failure, Out, or Catch terminal of the <node name> from
which the connection is to be made.
- Click the input (In) terminal of the next <node name> in the message flow.
The connection is made when you click a valid input terminal.
