Creating accounts

Create an account for each designer connector that you want to include in your flow.

Before you begin

Start IBM App Connect Enterprise Designer by running the Designer command as described in Starting IBM App Connect Enterprise Designer.

About this task

You need to create an account for each designer connector that you want to include in your flow so that you can connect to the application. If you know in advance which connectors you want to use, you can create accounts in the Catalog page for each of these connectors before you create the flow. The following steps describe how to create accounts from the Catalog page.

Alternatively, if you need to decide which connectors to use during flow creation, you can create the accounts by completing the required step in Creating an event driven flow or Creating a flow for an API.

Procedure

  1. In the sidebar navigation menu, click Catalog to open the Catalog page.
  2. Select the connector that you want to add to the flow. For example, GitHub.
  3. Create an account by using one of the following methods:
    • If there are existing accounts, they are listed in a menu labeled Accounts:
      1. Click the down arrow to scroll through the menu and select Add a new account.
      2. Enter your credentials.
      3. Click Connect.
    • If there are no existing accounts, create a new account by completing the following steps:
      1. Click Connect.
      2. Enter your credentials.
      3. Click Connect.
