Running Config Sync as a stand-alone binary

The prebuilt binaries allow you to run the API Connect Config Sync utility from a Mac, Windows, or Linux x86 platform.

About this task

Running a stand-alone invocation of apic-configsync that uses one of the prebuilt binaries is the most flexible option. For optimal performance, apic-configsync should run as close to the target cluster as possible.

Complete the following steps to configure environment variables and run the stand-alone binary.

Procedure

  1. Download and extract the API Connect Config Sync package.
  2. In the extracted package, navigate to the /binaries/<platform> directory that contains the appropriate version of the apic-configsync utility for your platform.
  3. Define the environment variables for the source and target catalogs.
  4. Run the utility with the following command:
    • Mac and Linux x86: ./apic-configsync
    • Windows: apic-configsync.exe
