Installing IBM API Studio

Install IBM API Studio to use the graphical interface for designing, testing, and managing APIs.

About this task

You can download IBM API Studio installation files from the toolkit.

Procedure

  1. Log in to API Manager by using your IBMid.
  2. On the API Manager home page, click the Tools for download link.
  3. In the Tools for download window, click API Studio.
  4. In the Download and install IBM API Studio window, select the link corresponding to your operating system to download the file.
  5. Extract the downloaded file.
    Note: For macOS only, remove the quarantine attribute added by macOS to allow the application to run by using the following command: xattr -cr "path-to-IBM-API-Studio-app"
    For example: 
    xattr -cr "APIstudio.app"
  6. Run the executable to start IBM API Studio.

    After you complete these steps, IBM API Studio will be installed and ready to use. You can start designing, testing, and managing APIs by using the graphical interface.
