Configuring user onboarding strategy

Onboarding strategy determines the process that user sign-up requests must undergo and it is optional. If you do not configure an onboarding strategy, then users' sign-up requests are automatically approved.

About this task

This use case starts when you want to configure onboarding process for user registration requests and ends when you complete the configuration.

Procedure

  1. Expand the menu options, click Administration, and select Onboarding.
  2. From the User onboarding section, enable any or all the strategies according to your requirements.
    • Internal approval. Turn on and select the approval workflow from Select a flow. For information on configuring user registration approval workflow, see Configuring internal onboarding approval workflow.
    • External approval. Turn on to enable external approval. You can notify the external approving system by creating a webhook. For information on configuring user sign-up notifications to your external approving system, see Configuring webhooks to notify user requests to external approval systems.
    • Email verification. An email is sent to the email address provided during sign-up. Users must follow the steps that are given in the mail to get onboarded.
  3. Use the arrow keys next to these strategies to change their order. The strategies are followed by the order that they appear.
    The onboarding strategy is saved.
  4. Click Save.
