Disabling live testing of APIs

You can disable live testing of APIs in the CMS Portal to restrict exposure of an API.

Before you begin

You must have administrator access to the CMS Portal to complete this task.
Note: This module synchronizes the credentials of applications that are created by consumers in the CMS Portal site UI. It cannot synchronize the credentials for applications that are created by the provider in the API Manager UI.

Procedure

  1. If the administrator dashboard is not displayed, click Manage to display it.
  2. Click Configuration in the administrator dashboard.
  3. In the SYSTEM section, click IBM API Developer Portal.
  4. Ensure that the Allow live testing of APIs check box is cleared.
  5. Click Save configuration.
    You have disabled live testing of APIs. To enable live testing of APIs, repeat the steps and ensure that the Allow live testing of APIs check box is selected.
