You can onboard consumers
users
users to Developer Portal by adding their details on the Manage
users page.
Procedure
- Expand the menu options, select Manage users, and click
Create user.
- Provide a username in the username field.
Users must
provide the same username when they sign in.
- Provide the following details of the users in the corresponding fields.
- First name
- Last name
- Email
- Password, that the user must use to sign in to Developer Portal
- Select a user group.
You can add more than one group and also modify the list
of groups later.
- Select a user privilege.
You can select one of the
following privileges based on the user role.
- Administrator
- Provider
- Consumer
- Partner
In addition to the privilege that you assign to users, the users have the privileges of the
selected groups that are assigned to them. If you select more than one group, then the highest
privilege among the groups added is applied to the user. For example, if you select API provider and
API consumer groups for a user, then the user has the API provider privilege.
Note:
- Click Save.
The new user appears in the
Manage users screen.
What to do next
- Consumers can perform the following steps according to
their requirements.
- Sign in by providing their username and password.
- Change the password during first sign-in. The password
must abide by the password policy.
- Administrators can perform the following steps
according to their requirements.
- Click the edit icon
next to a user to edit the user details.
- Click the assign icon
next to a user to assign the user to
the groups.
