Managing data planes in federated API management

Managing data planes includes adding, viewing, modifying, and removing data planes from federated API management.

• Add a data plane.
  1. On the Catalog page, click the Data planes tab.
     A list of all the available data planes in federated API management appears.
  2. Click Add data plane.
  3. Provide the required data plane details and click Save.
     You can add multiple tags to a data plane. Make sure that you do not add similar tags to a data plane.

     Note: On the 3 Runtime Selection step, when you select Starts with from the Operator drop-down and enter a value, federated API management adds the runtime to the data plane. Any future runtimes added to federated API management that matches the specified pattern gets added to the same data plane.
     The added data plane gets listed.
• View data plane details and its associated runtimes.
  1. On the Catalog page, click the Data planes tab.
  2. To view data plane details, click the overflow menu and select Details.
  3. Click the Relations tab.
     A list of all the runtimes that is associated with the data plane appears.
• Edit a data plane.
  1. On the Catalog page, click the Data planes tab.
  2. To edit a data plane, click the Overflow menu corresponding to the data plane and select Edit .
  3. Modify the required data plane details and click Save.
• Delete a data plane.
  1. On the Catalog page, click the Data planes tab.
  2. To delete a data plane, click the Overflow menu corresponding to the data plane, select Delete , and click Yes, delete data plane.
     The data plane and its associated runtimes are deleted.
