You can turn off forums in the CMS Portal by
disabling the Forum module. This action prevents users from viewing, and contributing to,
forums.
Before you begin
You must have administrator access to the CMS Portal to complete this
task.
Note: This module synchronizes the credentials of applications that are created by consumers in
the CMS Portal site UI. It cannot synchronize the credentials for applications that are created by
the provider in the API Manager UI.
About this task
To turn off forums, you must first remove all Forums terms, and then you can disable the
Forum module.
Procedure
To turn off the forums, complete the following steps.

If the administrator dashboard is not displayed, click Manage to display it.

Delete all Forums terms by completing the following steps:

Click in the administrator dashboard.
The list of Forums terms is displayed.

For each item in the list of terms, select Delete from the drop-down
list in the Operations column, and then click Delete
again to confirm.
All of the Forums terms are deleted.

Disable the Forum module by completing the following steps:

Click in the administrator dashboard.

Select the Forum module, then click
Disable.

The display then shows a list of forum configuration that is removed when the Forum module is
disabled. Click Disable again to confirm that you agree to this
removal.
- Remove the Forums menu from the CMS Portal home
page by completing the following steps:
- Click .
- Click Edit menu in the Operations
column.
The Main navigation edit menu page lists all the menu
options that are displayed on the CMS Portal home
page.
- Clear the Enabled checkbox against
Forums.
- Click Save to save the changes.
Results
You successfully turned off forums in the CMS Portal.If you want, you can enable the Forum module again by clicking Extend,
selecting the Forum module on the List tab, and clicking
Enable.
