Configuring MCP tools

Add MCP servers, provide authentication details, and select tool operations to configure MCP tools in API Manager.

1. Log in to API Manager.
2. On the Settings page, click API Agent, and then click Tools.
3. In the MCP tools section, click Add.
4. In the Add MCP server dialog box, enter the name of your server and URL, and then click Next.
5. In the Authorization dialog box, enter the token details, and then click Test connection. By default, the Authorization type field contains token. Only tokens are supported in this release to enable the MCP server.
6. Optional: Enable user login with credentials by selecting the checkbox.
7. Click Next.
8. In the Tool operations dialog box, select the checkboxes for the operations you want to display in the MCP tools section, and then click Add.
9. To view tool operations details, click the arrow in the Name column.
   Note: By default, three tool operations are displayed. To view more operations, click Show all.
10. To edit or delete the operation details, in the MCP tools section, click the Overflow menu, and then click Edit or Delete.
11. To change the list of operations, in the MCP tools section, click the Overflow menu, and then click Tool operations to change the list of operations.
    1. Click the Overflow menu and then click Tool operations.
    2. In the Tool operations dialog box, select or deselect the operations name.
