Managing simple aliases

You can create, update, and delete webMethods simple aliases at both the catalog and space level. Simple aliases created at catalog and space level are visible and manageable from both catalog and space settings.

Note: You must have the catalog owner or administrator permissions to manage catalog or space settings.

Simple aliases provide a way to create alternative names or references for webMethods services within your API Connect environment.

Simple aliases created at the catalog level are visible and can be updated or deleted from space settings. Similarly, simple aliases created at the space level are visible and can be updated or deleted from catalog settings. This bidirectional visibility ensures consistent management across your catalog and space hierarchy.

Note: You must have Spaces enabled for your catalog to create, update, and delete the simple alias in the space settings. For more information, see Enabling Spaces in a Catalog.
