Connecting API connect runtimes

Describes the steps to integrate API Connect runtimes into federated API management.

Before you begin

Make sure to

  • have the management-admin endpoint available to access the Cloud Manager UI and register the supported runtimes that can integrated with API connect. Run kubectl get ingress command from the deployment folder to retrieve the endpoints.
  • register federated API management with API connect. For details, see Enabling Federated API Management service.
  • register analytics with API connect. For details, see Registering Analytics.

About this task

federated API management supports the integration of the following API Connect runtime.
  • DataPower API Gateway (V6)
  • DataPower Nano Gateway
  • webMethods API Gateway
  • Developer Portal
  • CMS Portal

These API Connect runtimes are automatically populated in the federated API management when the supported runtimes are registered as a service in Cloud Manager and also when the federated API management is enabled in Cloud Manager. After registration, the federated API management can manage and monitor all the runtimes in the API connect from a single unified interface.
