The API economy insights dashboard includes widgets that you can use to analyze the API
performance in terms of collaboration and API view trends.
About this task
The API economy insights dashboard is available for users with the API
administrator, API provider, and API
partner roles. Users with the API partner role can only view the
analytics of the APIs that they own. For information about API partner capabilities, see API partner isolation.
Procedure
- Expand the menu options and select Dashboard.
- In API economy dashboard, select Insights.
The widgets of the dashboard appear for the last seven days, by default.

Displays the number of APIs available in your Developer Portal instance. |

Displays the number of applications available in your Developer Portal instance. |

Displays the number of topics available in your Developer Portal instance. |
| Top 5 APIs by view |
Displays the first five most-viewed APIs and the number of times that they were viewed.

Displays a pie chart that lists the first five most-followed APIs. The pie chart represents
each API by a different color in the pie chart. The legend below the chart provides the API names
corresponding to each color. You can hover over the different sections of the pie chart to see the
count of followers for each of these APIs. |

Displays a graph that indicates the API views for the selected period. The view trend graph
has the API view time in the x axis and views count in the y axis. |
| Top 5 APIs by tryout |
Displays the first five APIs based on the maximum number of tries with try out count for
each API. |
| API tryout distribution |
Displays a pie chart to indicate the try-out counts of APIs. The pie chart represents each
API by a different color in the pie chart. The legend below the pie chart provides the API names
corresponding to each color. You can hover over the different sections of the chart to see the try
out count of each API. |

period with application requested time in the x axis and number of
requests in the y axis. |

Displays the first five APIs based on the maximum number of discussions and number of

Displays the first five consumers based on the maximum number of discussions and number of
customers for each API. |
- Optional: View the analytics for an alternative period:
