API Agent sources

You can manage API Agent sources such as catalogs and application sources.

Overview

You can manage the API Agent sources in API Connect by clicking Settings > API AgentSources.

Sources that are added to the API Agent sources repository are indexed and stored as numerical representations of objects called embeddings in a vector database. You can search for APIs in the context of API Connect, and for schemas, tables, or columns in the context of application sources.

  • The API Connect sources tab displays the list of API Connect catalogs and drafts of the provider organization that you are logged in to. Expand the provider organization name to view the list of catalogs that are added as API Agent sources. For more information, see API Connect catalogs and drafts.
  • The Applications tab displays the list of application sources that are configured for API Agent. You can also edit the connection and application objects so that the users of the Visual Studio Code extension can search for schemas, tables, and application objects. For more information, see Application sources.
  • Use the Documents tab to upload files in PDF or Markdown format. The uploaded documents help the API Agent search and provide relevant information in the chat interface.

The following topics provide details about how to add and remove sources such as catalogs and database tables for API Agent.
