Configuring the application settings

You can configure the application settings in the Developer Portal to limit or allow credential access to the consumer organization members.

Before you begin

You must have administrator access to the Developer Portal to complete this task.

About this task

You can configure the application settings in the Developer Portal to limit or allow the following credential access to the consumer organization members:
  • Reset the application client ID.
  • Reset the application client secret.
  • Add more credentials.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your Developer Portal as an administrator.
  2. If the administrator dashboard is not displayed, click Manage to display it.
  3. Click Configuration > System > IBM API Connect in the administrator dashboard.
  4. Scroll down to Applications. By default, all the configuration options are selected.

    The consumer organization members can see the following credential options on the respective Applications page under the Subscriptions tab:
    • Add
    • Edit
    • Reset Credentials
    • Reset API Secret

  5. Clear one or more checkboxes based on the options you want to remove from the application credentials.
    Note: If you clear all the checkboxes, the consumer organization members can only see the Edit option on the Applications page under the Subscriptions tab.
  6. Click Save configuration to save the changes.

Results

You successfully configured the application credential settings on your Developer Portal.
