Preparing for a disaster

Prepare your API Connect deployment for disaster recovery in a VMware environment.

• Successful disaster recovery of API Connect depends on recovery of both the Management subsystem and the Developer Portal subsystem. You must complete preparation steps for both subsystems in order to achieve disaster recovery. The preparation steps for Management subsystem differ for each v10.x version of API Connect, and also for backup types (S3 or SFTP). Use the instructions for your version and backup type.
• The preparation steps for the Developer Portal subsystem are the same for all v10 versions.
• The preparation steps for the Analytics subsystem are the same for all v10 versions.
