Kerberos authentication for Windows servers

In addition to the LDAP authentication mechanisms, the AIX operating system also supports user authentication through the Kerberos protocol for Windows servers.

The AIX operating system supports Kerberos authentication for Windows KDC and LDAP identification for Windows Active Directory by creating a KRB5ALDAP compound loadmodule. Because user identification information is pulled from Microsoft Active Directory, you do not need to create the corresponding user accounts on the AIX operating system.
