Setting the security officer PIN

Follow these steps to change a security officer (SO) PIN from its default value.

You must change the SO PIN from its default value after you initialize a token.

  1. Enter the PKCS#11 Administration screen by typing /usr/sbin/p11admin.
  2. Select Source PKCS#11 Slot/Token and select a token.
  3. Select Manage PKCS#11 Tokens.
  4. Select Change Security Officer Password.
  5. Enter the current PIN and a new PIN.
  6. Enter the new PIN again and press Enter.
